What is a Sherpa? and WHY a “Realty” Sherpa, you ask??

While there are several definitions of what a Sherpa is, I offer one here taken from Wikipedia.org with a slight paraphrase at the end:

“Sherpas are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their local terrain. They were immeasurably valuable to early explorers of the Himalayan region, serving as guides at the extreme altitudes of the peaks and passes in the region, particularly for expeditions to climb Mt. Everest“.…..

It is almost unheard of today to attempt climbing Mt. Everest without a seasoned, experienced guide, a Sherpa….

While Buying or Selling Real Estate is not “as” hard as climbing Mt. Everest, it is NOT all that easy, either, and it is something you’d really NOT want to try alone…the chances of success are much enhanced when you engage an “expert in the local terrain”‘…like DON TAYLOR!

I will offer on this Blog information, tips and advice designed to help and assist you in the “quest” to Buy, Sell or rent…residential or commercial Real Estate…as my “unofficial mentor Zig Ziglar always said: “See you at the Top”!

New Years Resolutions

resolutions.jpg

After spending the holidays with family and friends, this is a time of the year to start thinking about changes to make in our lives, both personal and in business. I wanted to share one of mine with you.

My goal is to become your REALTOR® for life. I want you to think of Don Taylor first when you need to buy or sell and that you’ll be happy to recommend me to your friends too! That kind of trust has to be earned and I am committed to helping you be a better homeowner….even when you’re not “actively in the market”, buying or selling.

The strategy is simple. A well-informed homeowner will make better decisions. I will periodically offer information through articles and social media (I now have a BLOG!!), on a wide variety of home-related topics like maintenance tips, tax law changes, financing suggestions, insurance, equity building strategies, and rental property investments. I hope you will find these to be useful…you can always let me know should you want to “opt out” of receiving these e-mail articles and etc…and also I’d love to hear feedback from you of what you LIKE and also maybe suggestions for topics / info you’d be interested in knowing more about….

You can also feel free to contact me if you should ever need a recommendation on a service provider. My 30+ years of experience has built a list of reputable and reasonable contractors and Handymans that you can rely upon. When you have any kind of home-related questions, I hope you’ll have the confidence to call me.

Happy New Year. I sincerely look forward to helping you or your friends or family.
